ABOUT ME
Described as having an infectious personality and natural ability to build and lead high-performing teams, Dr. Allison Scott is a business management, scholar- practitioner, and thought leader. She owns A-List Solutions, a consulting practice offering project and program management services, and Career Doctor AliJ, a career coaching business based in Atlanta, Georgia.
With over 20 years of information technology experience, she is well-versed in working with leaders, offering strategic and tactical solutions specific to the successful planning and execution of critical initiatives. Dr. Scott has worked in various industries throughout her corporate career, including manufacturing, banking, automotive, and financial technology.
In addition to her strong background in project and program management, Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Clark Atlanta University, an MBA with a specialization in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategy and Innovation from Capella University. Her research topic explored Strategic Alignment and Information Technology Projects in the Banking Industry. She is also a certified project management professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) through Scrum Alliance, and a Six Sigma Green Belt through the Georgia Institute of Technology.
As a professional, Dr. Scott has helped many organizations build solutions, create strategic plans, and execute key initiatives. While project and program management and her career coaching business keep her busy, she also loves mentoring, teaching, and serving in the community. In her spare time, she enjoys facilitating adult learning courses focused on project and program leadership and volunteering with various organizations, including Women in Technology and her beloved sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is an active member of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter. Dr. Scott is passionate about a few things, especially her faith in God. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, where she resides. She enjoys traveling, sports, cooking, singing, and spending time with her family including her bichon frise, Bailey.
